The History

We built our first web games site back in 2002 - you may remember Playaholics.com. We followed up with Chickstop.com and Millionsofgames.com and we built quite a few for our clients.

Then, in 2005, the Casual Games hype started to build and we had a really good look at our sites and what was happening across the rest of the industry. We had learned a lot of lessons and were really still looking for ways of generating serious revenues from casual game development and games sites. Then came Web 2.0 with social networking and all the enhanced user experiences it brings along.

It really got us thinking about where we can take this space. What is the ultimate Casual Games site?

We started working in Fizzy in mid-2006. Its been an ambitious project from the start. We put together a new hosting platform, a new development framework and started designing the site using all we had learned. We launched in June 2007 and since then have merged all of our other games sites into Fizzy. We've designed it to be expandable, meaning that Fizzy is a work in progress and probably will be forever.

Its already a big site with loads of games and masses of member features. It also provides a market place for any game developer to distribute their free games and sell their download games through the developer portal.
