Game On!

They say that work is a game that’s been designed so badly that you have to pay people to play it.

We often find that people are curious about how games and gamification can be used in the workplace. The explanation can be complex because let’s face it, game design can be complicated, especially when you want to create a good game!

If you have 53 minutes and 17 seconds to kill (who does? We know) and you are curious about the benefits of bringing game design into your workplace, you may want to have a listen to a recent episode of NPR’s Hidden Brain podcast, presented by Shankar Vedantam who is a joy to listen to.

The episode is part of a new series they have called Work 2.0 and the other episodes are also worth a listen.

The episode is called Work 2.0: Game on!

You can probably find it on your favourite podcast app, or you can listen to it online here

If you’d like to have an exploratory chat about how games and gamification can be used in your workplace, please get in touch. Our Collaborative Design Process might be a good place to start.
