Travel agents have hundreds of destinations to remember important information about. Is it any wonder that some places get pigeonholed? South Africa Tourism was finding that despite all that South Africa offers, most travel agents were only recommending it if their customers were looking for a safari.

They challenged us to change the perception of South Africa as a tourist destination among Travel Agents.

It was time to think again!

WE DELIVERED

Travel agents are smart people that know a lot about a lot of different places. Rather than trying to preach to them, or create some tedious e-learning application, we created the ultimate South Africa Quiz app, South Africa - Think Again!

The app took travel agents through a virtual journey through South Africa, highlighting the key locations, the amazing activities and those hidden gems that can really make a travel agent look good.

Supported with some great prizes, the app motivated travel agents to compete with each other to see who knew the most about this great country and travel destination.

For South African Tourism, this is also a great data collection tool, gathering direct contact details from travel agents across the country.

The app was available for iOS and Android.

THE OUTCOMES

South Africa - Think Again! worked as planned. Played by thousands of travel agents who typically played several times each, the app has proven to be a powerful addition to the South African Tourism marketing mix.
